Click the [Apply] button to save the settings. Live Update 6 Reminder will automatically pop up at the reminding time. Choose [Yes] or [No] to do update. Choose [Remind me later] or [Never remind me] for the reminder setting. At [System information] page, you can see all installed drivers and applications, when you click [Scan] button.
The MSISetup will automatically start up after download. Click the [Next] button at the following page. There are two ways to flash BIOS. The processing time will depends on the size of the USB disk. Click [Start] to restart the computer. Click [Cancel] to cancel the restart. I didn't have the Fast Startup option in Power Settings but I followed the instructions to disable it in the registry. Reinstalled, then manually ran live update several times until no more updates were found.
Hopefully this takes care of it. It's been several days since updating the registry to disable fast startup, reinstalling Norton and manually running updates over and over until no more updates came up. Issue has not recurred so I think the issue is resolved. Hopefully whatever MS did with the recent update that caused the issue is resolved so people don't keep getting this in the future. I haven't had this problem in the last week, since I reported it.
It's too early to say that it's been resolved, though, as it was only happening sporadically. Maybe another week or two would be enough. IF, you have installed any recent Windows updates those do at times re-enable fast startup. You've said you are running Windows You should NOT have to edit the system registry to disable that setting.
Its listed when you select "Choose what the power buttons do". Then click the statement in blue " Change settings that are currently unavailable".
What version and build is your WIndows 10 installation? Another reason you may not have seen the option is if you had disabled Hibernate in Powercfg settings. Back to top. Reg: Dec Kudos 0.
