Welcome SJJC. No I haven't but thanks for the heads up. I'm going to try turning the wifi off tonight and see what happens. I sleep above the wifi. I'd be interested to know if it makes a difference to your T. I have done this the last few nights and the pitch of T seems to reduce back to previous levels, and my sleep is improved. During the day when booster switched back on the higher pitch seems to become constant again.
Im going to keep experimenting! Hello SJJC. I don't think so but I'm going to persevere for a week or so. Just in case other factors are influencing the T. It's interesting what you say about your T. Keep me posted.
As an experiment I removed or turned them off for a few weeks. Sorry to say on this sample of one it made no difference. Distraction seems to be the only thing for me regard tinnitus, I listen to talking radio programs at night - thank you radio 4 extra.
Funnily enough I was just wondering about Van Gogh, whether tinnitus may have contributed to this action. But there will be a power supply as part or it and that uses a technique called switch mode - which is chopping up the mains using a high frequency switch.
That will have components working at lower frequencies, khz perhaps. Best of luck, Amanda. I have read that WiFi and EMF is a big contributor to tinnitus and minimizing exposure can be very helpful. Turning WiFi off at night, not having phones or gadgets left on in your bedroom at night etc and also not being exposed to blue light on screens can all help reduce tinnitus.
I know of many people for whom this has made a great difference so definitely worth a try. This plays havoc with her head. Do you know anything about this too? Hi penny. I don't know a great amount but I have listened to interviews about the effects of EMF and my homeopath frequently tells me of the negative impact it has on us.
She told me that with lockdown, increased usage of WiFi etc and people being shut in at home, that she has seen so many more of her clients struggling with various issues as a result.
People's symptoms range from mild to severe she told me. It apparently confuses our energy systems and she says mine is currently disrupted and out of rhythm. It makes sense I guess as we are electrical beings. Perhaps this explains too how when I go for walks with dogs out into the fields my head and ears are so much better. Maybe I should go and live outside on a tent. The tinnitus would quieten down. This is very interesting.
Thank you. I've often wondered if the internet might be a problem. Thanks all for your comments! I stopped keeping devices next to my bed and listen to tinnitus masking tracks through the night the masking music is really helpful I would tend to agree with the assessment of MBR1 - new ish technology is a frequent scapegoat for changes in health conditions, without there being much in the way of a demonstrable relationship between the two.
The government agencies across the world who have explored this topic have found no plausible method for our health to be affected by home wi-fi signals or booster devices used to improve connectivity, but the fear of a potential link exists regardless of published research and hard data. We've had tinnitus, tinnitus spikes and attendant mental and emotional health issues since before the invention and adoption of electricity, so it's hard to see how a plug-in wi-fi booster should have any effect beyond letting you use the internet in a different room.
Perhaps sound advice, as people tend to latch on to a suspicion and are inclined to prove it. Although we don't want to be led down the wrong path, it's important still to question authority as a check and balance, in the name of true science. It's understadlable why people may think wireless transmissions might be causing T. The T seems to be ramping up as wireless companies expand their networks and host a variety of different wavelengths in their attempts to handle the growing demand for data capacity.
They've basically created a giant microwave oven out of planet earth. There is pleanty of data published by other institutions better equipped to study these things, that finds wireless technologies to be harmful. However, various studies carried out directly by dozens of laboratories on DNA, at the level of dermatological effects, at the level of the brain, the nervous and endocrine systems have proven that there are athermic effects that induce alterations in all these physiological levels.
Over the past few years, we have seen an increase in EHS cases. Suddenly they have multiplied exponentially and each time the levels of intensity of suffering and pain are higher. It appears that we are reaching a saturation level of electromagnetic exposure that has caused even people without preexisting conditions of hypersensitivity to begin developing an EHS degree.
Governments like those of France, Spain, and Sweden today consider EHS as a functional disability that a percentage of the population lives when it is added to a high level of electromagnetic radiation contamination; such as the one that is present in urban areas, technology offices, homes with nearby industrial exposures radio mobile phone bases, high-voltage lines, electrical substations.
These individuals have fully recovered their normal lifestyle and today have been able to use modern technologies with complete normality. That is why we defend the position that electromagnetic pollution EMF Pollution can be filtered and balanced while continuing to use technologies. Any more personal experience to share? Thongjy , Feb 1, Hi Thongjy : Very well could be my imagination.
But I think my tinnitus is more bothersome sitting at my desk in front of my computer, which I do much of my work day. I blame our massive wireless system in this large room but who knows?
I cope with it by wearing headphones and very softly playing masking music. LadyDi , Feb 1, Location: UK Tinnitus Since: 5. BobDigi , Feb 1, Anymore personal experiences?
Thanks everyone. Thongjy , Feb 2, I've always been a little weird with wifi. Does it have a physical impact on us, I'm not so sure, it's more a physiological effect in my opinion. Though I'll never stop my habits regardless. Kopesy , Feb 2, Yes can worsen but i think the noise of computers in the room can worsen you T many times more. Wifi is microwaves but it is low power. Microwaves interact with hearing but all has to do with signal power.
For example the microwave oven has high amounts of power. To solution is to buy or make a faraday cage in you bed so for 8 hours you will be totally free from RF. The ready solutions cost about start from euros to some thousand euros. Iam planning to do a cage like this who knows if iam free from RF for 10 hours every day T maybe better because of better sleep. Informative x 1. More likely you have noticed it more in you computer room, because before the headphones, it was a quiet room.
I see your point, BobDigi. Quiet rooms do bother my tinnitus. But I work all day in a news room -- which while not deafening, most certainly is not quiet. I notice my tinnitus go up shortly after I begin sitting at my terminal. Usually starts subsiding after I leave. Of course, could be stress-related, not the wireless. But I wonder. Also, I once took a camping trip to a place that sadly is very close to high-tension electrical lines.
My T was crazy the entire time I was there. Interesting discussion, all. LadyDi , Feb 2, Anymore feedback? Thongjy , Feb 6, Location: Gothenburg Tinnitus Since: Sep Cause of Tinnitus: progressive tinnitus, time of expiring in next months.
